350 billion Forints are still available to fund environmental, conservational and water management developments, and which must be utilized by 2014 – announced Zoltán Illés, State Secretary for Environmental Affairs of the Ministry of Rural Development, in Hajdúböszörmény, where he opened a bicycle path.

Zoltán Illés added: 50 billion Forints have been utilized within the country so far for such purposes during the current budgetary period. With regard to the bicycle path project in Hajdúböszörmény, which was realised at a cost of almost 300 million Forints, Zoltán Illés also spoke about the fact that in Hungary, 49 percent of the population regularly uses a bicycle; in Budapest, this figure is 23 percent.
