With two new Contact Point offices, now every county town in the South Trans-Danube region is ready to serve young people who are looking for help in planning their future or searching for answers related to learning. Coming from the development efforts of the New Generation Plus program two bodies were opened in Szekszárd and Kaposvár by Peter Mihalovics, Ministerial Commissioner in charge of the future of the new generation.

Within the frames of the New Generation Plus comprehensive youth development program service, running under the supervision of Ministry of Public Administration and Justice, twenty youth work Contact Point offices are carrying out their work through the whole country. The Contact Point Network tries to build upon already existing local networks, becoming a direct link to young people through the embracement of central and local youth initiatives.

The network provides, among other services, individual and grouped consultancy regarding career decisions, life management and employment; and as a public space it contributes to a rich pastime, organizes different professional and leisure events, and investigates points of everyday conflicts on the spot.

According to Ministerial Commissioner Dr. Peter Mihalovics, the uniqueness of the offices lies in their proactive attitude, as the colleagues of the Contact Points reach out for young people at schools, festivals, forums and pastime places, who then get answers and advises for their inquiries in their own comfort zone the most comfortable way.

Deputy Mayor Rezső Ács and parliamentary representative Márton Braun attended the official opening ceremony in Szekszárd, while Mayor Károly Szita and Attila Gelencsér, chairman of the county assembly did the same in Kaposvár, greeting this step in the helping of the daily life and prosperity of the youth.
