At their meeting in Budapest, President of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev and Deputy Prime Minister Tibor Navracsics stated that it is extremely important to work much more closely together in order to achieve the objectives of Central and South-Eastern European Member States of the EU. Mr. Navracsics said that Hungary and Bulgaria are interested in a Europe in which the Central and South-Eastern European Member States are not second-class members of the community, and this is precisely why Hungary supports Bulgaria's accession to the Schengen Area.
Mr. Plevneliev thanked Hungary for its support, and went on to say that cooperation between the two countries is essential for the creation of a strong region.
