They would also play a role in reuniting the nation Erika Szabó, Minister of State for Regional Public Administration and Elections, visited another government office and ‘government window’ (i.e. integrated public administration customer office) in Debrecen on Thursday. In the course of this visit, not only did she ask the employees about their experiences so far, but she also met a group of people from Nagyvárad (Oradea) who have submitted their simplified naturalisation applications there.

Meeting these people reinforces the fact that government windows play an effective role in reuniting our nation. According to recent nationwide data, by 14 April 699 people had submitted such applications at these centres.

After the visit the Minister of State participated in a professional discussion with Róbert Rácz, Government Commissioner for Hajdú-Bihar County and Mrs. Vasas Lászlóné, Director-general. She also had talks with Sándor Bodó, Speaker of Hajdú-Bihar County General Assembly.

At the press conference following the event Ms. Szabó said in connection with administration bodies that they will bring order to mushrooming organisations. She stressed that from 1 January 2011 the busiest have been integrated into government offices.

According to the Minister of State, Hungary is coming closer to the establishment of the ‘Good State’, in which citizen-centred service is finally realised.
