On 12 July, the Temporary Senate of the National University for Civil Service Studies – which is to prepare operation of the new university from 1 January 2012 – held its inaugural meeting in the assembly hall of the Police Academy. The event was the subject of an announcement by the National Institute of Public Administration.

The jointly-elected board of the three merging higher education institutions (BCE Administrative Sciences Faculty, the Police Academy and the Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University) has adopted the operating rules of the annual work plan for 2011.

In his communiqué, Norbert Kis, Director of the National Institute of Public Administration, stated that at the meeting the representatives of the maintaining body (the Ministry of Public Administration, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defence) stressed that board rules must be in line with the expected changes in the legal environment for higher education, while training has to follow government policy on human resources related to the renewed civil service career structure.
