Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration and Justice Tibor Navracsics has held bilateral talks in St. Petersburg with Russian Minister of Justice Alexander Vladimirovich Konovalov.

At the meeting it was agreed that in the first half of 2014 the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum – which is currently holding its 2013 event – will hold its regional Central European conference in Budapest, jointly organized by Hungary and Russia.

Mr. Konovalov hailed as a success Russian-Hungarian cooperation on judicial matters in 2012-2011, during which relevant issues were clarified in expert meetings. The two sides not only agreed to continue cooperation in 2013, but also in the future.

The Russian minister expressed appreciation of Hungary’s reform policies and ensured Mr. Navracsics that Russia fully supports Hungary in all its renewal initiatives.
