Dr András Levente Gál, government commissioner for the coordination of the implementation of the Good State development concept, had talks with leading US universities on student exchange programmes and joint research projects. The purpose of the consultations conducted with the representatives of Tufts University, Fletcher School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government is to enable the students of the National Public Service University to improve their skills at universities in the United States in the future.
The government commissioner had talks with respect to a strategic agreement between Tufts University, Fletcher School and the National Public Service University, as part of which student and professor exchange programmes and joint research projects may be implemented under the auspices of the National Public Service University in the course of the implementation of the Magyary Zoltán Public Administration Development Programme. Cooperation in the area of international relations and the development of strategies may be one of the most important elements of this. After a phase of preparations and following the approval of the relevant university boards, a framework agreement may be signed by András Patyi, Rector of the National Public Service University in October 2012, as expected.
Based on the talks held with the representatives of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, experts from Harvard will review the government development programmes conducted by the National Public Service University and may, by September 2012, identify the joint research projects in which the parties may cooperate. An exchange of students and professors between the National Public Service University and Harvard may form part of this research cooperation
