There will be six summer camps organized within Erzsébet Programme, all of the camps will be in the most deprived sub regions of Hungary. The program will offer six different types of sport camps for children living with disabilities. The information was shared by the spokesperson of the program at the press event held in Tatabánya, this Wednesday.

Anna Nagy informed the public that children may enroll to 58 differend kinds of camps, out of which 20 was not part of the assortiment beforehand. The camps are open to every child. As the spokesperson said, the number of open tenders in the third year of the Erzsébet Programme have doubled since 2013, for which a sum of 3.5 billion HUF is available via the  Erzsébet Foundation.

With help of the Erzsébet Programme, more than 250,000 people went on vacations in the last two years, 100,000 among them were children. Out of them were lot of teenagers, who were never ever able to get to summer holidays and large families who lacked common vacations.

The high interest towards the spa ticket issued for retired people is illustrated by the fact that the quota run out on 15 January and the social holiday competition for the retired closed on 20 January. A total of 34,000 elderly people got access to forms of recreation. For large families and disabled pople, tenders are still open.

During the press conference, Mr János Bencsik parliamentary representative of the governing party, FIDESZ called the programme the „biggest solidarity movement of Hungary”, as it is ensured entirely by the revenues of the Erzsébet Voucher, without central budget funding.
