Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Public Administration and Justice Tibor Navracsics began an official visit to Washington, D.C., on Monday.

Minister Navracsics had talks with Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, and laid wreaths at the monuments to Lajos Kossuth and Raoul Wallenberg in the United States Senate.

Later, the Deputy Prime Minister will meet Philip Gordon, Assistant Secretary at the United States State Department, and Senator Ben Cardin, Co-President of the Helsinki Commission.

He will hold a presentation at an event organised by the German Marshall Foundation, the Heritage Foundation and the McCain Institute, as well as meet representatives of the Hungarian community. Minister Navracsics will also visit the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and participate at the Lantos Human Rights Prize award ceremony.
