The Ministry of Public Administration and Justice is today staging the third annual ‘ReGeneration – Governmental Career Expo’ in Budapest. The aim of the event is to present job and career opportunities for young people in public service, government and public administration. At today's opening ceremony the event’s founder, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration and Justice Tibor Navracsics, said that the renewal taking place in public administration is not only institutional, legal and professional, but also generational.
The ‘ReGeneration’ programme, which was launched two years ago, has played a major role in encouraging more and more young people to consider careers in public administration, and thus the Government's public administration reform can already be seen in the renewal of public service personnel and skills. An increasing number of young people with competitive skill-sets and language knowledge are choosing careers in public administration. Mr Navracsics said that ‘Public administration is growing younger, and the programme is continuing.’ This year again sees the announcement of the public administration scholarship programme, which over the last two years has given around five hundred Hungarian school-leavers the chance to work in Hungarian and international internships.
At Saturday's event ministries, background institutions and civil society organisations which have strategic partnerships with them are represented on more than seventy stands.
