The development funded from the New Széchenyi Plan concerns one of the most important sections of Budapest suburban railway transport, the Budapest-Esztergom railway line serving 14 thousand passengers per day. In the first phase, the railway track was refurbished along more than 30 km between Pilisvörösvár and Esztergom. Thanks to the comprehensive reconstruction, the accessibility of stations and stops improved, access times shorten, railway transport becomes more predictable and the standard of passenger transport will rise. The comprehensive investment worth almost HUF 20bn was inaugurated by Minister of State for Infrastructure Pál Völner in Dorog on 12 December, 2013. Photo: MTI, Zoltán Máthé
