Zsuzsanna Nemeth, the new minister of national development, has taken her oath of office in parliament on Wednesday.

Nemeth, who succeeds Tamas Fellegi in the post, was appointed on December 23 by President Pal Schmitt.

Nemeth was nominated by Prime Minister Viktor Orban last week, to replace Fellegi, who resigned earlier this month to head a delegation for the forthcoming IMF/EU talks.

Nemeth worked as managing director of the Hungarian Development Bank (MFB) from 1998 to 2002 and has served as deputy chief and member of the board of directors since 2010.
