Prime Minister Viktor Orban has nominated Zsuzsanna Nemeth to replace Tamas Fellegi as National Development Minister, the prime minister's spokesman Peter Szijjarto said.

Orban told House Speaker Laszlo Kover that he recommends Nemeth for the post, and asked Kover to start procedures for her to be heard by a committee, Szijjarto told MTI on Wednesday. Zsuzsanna Nemeth is deputy chief executive and member of the board of directors of the Hungarian Development Bank (MFB).

Former National Development Minister Tamas Fellegi asked to resign earlier in December to concentrate on talks he is heading with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on a precautionary loan for Hungary.
