Correcting the contents of the material released by the international news agency - based on an audio recording of the conversation - the Ministry of National Development wishes to publish the following correction.

Minister of National Development Dr. Tamás Fellegi explained that at the negotiations between representatives of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Hungary the parties wished to handle energy sector issues in a complex manner as a whole. They are to lay down the framework for this by the end of the year if possible – dependent on the prime ministerial summit.

One of the elements of the energy package is Surgutneftegaz’s stake in MOL Nyrt, in relation to which the minister explained that according to the government’s point of view one of the possible solutions for the present uncertain situation would be for the state to purchase the stake currently held by Surgutneftegaz. The Hungarian state continues not to negotiate with the Russian company about the purchase of its MOL shares.
