Transport cooperation between the Visegrád Four countries helps raise the competitiveness of the region, Hungary's Minister for National Development, Zsuzsanna Németh, said in Balatonfüred on Friday.
Opening a meeting of chief executives of the Czech, Hungarian, Polish and Slovak railways, she noted that intensive cooperation between the four nations' railway companies dated back to 15 years.
Over the past few years Viktor Orbán's gGovernment has made it clear that it is committed to modernising the Hungarian railways, and consolidating the finances of the national railway company, she pointed out.
The Minister stressed that the four countries should coordinate their actions within the European Union so that the region should achieve economic development and become the winner of Europe in the years to come.
