THE TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE NEWLY ESTABLISHED MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ARE THE FOLLOWING:

In connection with development policy, the Ministry of National Development is responsible for establishing and executing the Hungarian and EU development policy, synchronizing the developments in the different sectors of the economy, developments in tourism, research and development and technical innovation, the performance of activities related to space research.

In connection with national wealth, the Ministry of National Development is responsible for asset management, the regulation of the management of national wealth and the proprietary supervision of the management of national wealth, as well as the performance of tasks related to public procurement and procurement.

In connection with national infrastructure, the Ministry of National Development is responsible for meeting the energy needs of the population in a secure and economical manner, by taking the environmental aspects into account, promoting competition in the energy market, as well as supporting the realization of the community objectives defined within the framework of the European Union. The Ministry of National Development is also responsible for the execution of the tasks related to the transport and mining sectors.

In connection with infocommunication, the Ministry of National Development is responsible for audiovisual policy, securing the infrastructural feasibility of information technology and public administrative information technology, as well as the performance of tasks related to electronic telecommunication, frequency management, the information society and postal services.
