Minister for Human Resources Zoltán Balog conferred mandates for members of the Hungarian Higher Education Accreditation Committee on behalf of the Prime Minister of Hungary and university professor appointments on behalf of the President of Hungary on 6 March in Budapest.

In his address, the Minister pointed out that the state of Hungarian higher education is a national strategy priority, because “our future depends on it”. He said Hungary’s intellectual elite is composed of people whose hard work led them to become those who will impart knowledge to future generations. He added that any higher education reform can only be successful if it can rally behind it the majority of professors and other educators.

Zoltán Balog conferred mandates to the Hungarian Higher Education Accreditation Committee to the following:

Dr. Pál Fejérdy, Professor of the Semmelweis University,
Dr. Gábor L. Kovács, Professor of the University of Pécs,
Dr. Csaba Kutnyánszky, Deputy Rector of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.
