The Ministry of Human Resources has come to an agreement regarding cooperation with five teachers' trade unions, in addition to which professional consultations between the parties are taking place continually, Deputy State Secretary for Public Education Zoltán Gloviczki said at a press briefing today.

The Deputy State Secretary added that the monitoring of the state takeover of public education institutions is working well and the integration of development plans into legislation is currently under discussion.

The subjects of negotiations were, among others, the employment and career schemes of teachers as well as the regulationof the Klebelsberg Institution Maintenance Centre, (KIK).

János Szüdi of the Union of Teachers (PSZ) said they would like to make sure that students can start the next school year at the same institution they are currently attending and that teachers will enter the new employment system while receiving adequate remuneration and recognition.
