Hungarian Minister for Human Resources Zoltán Balog and Slovakian Minister of Education Dušan Čaplovič have promised to make mutual efforts in order to preserve the university status of Selye János University in Komárno, Slovakia.
During his official visit to Bratislava, Minister Zoltán Balog discussed the two countries’ education systems, perspectives and planned reforms with his counterpart.
Following the meeting, he told Hungarian News Agency MTI that Hungary would provide university lecturers as well as the financial participation necessary to cover expenses so that the university can retain its status.
In addition, Minister Čaplovič pointed out that the institution had received greater state support in 2013 than in earlier years, and this may also help the University meet the 2014 accreditation criteria.
