Encouraging childbirth is one of the Hungarian government’s top priorities, Deputy State Secretary for Family and Equal Opportunities Attila Fülöp opened on Thursday a new nursery built at a cost of nearly 150 million forints (EUR 481,000) in the town of Vaja, north-eastern Hungary. Attila Fülöp said on Thursday at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences during the “Work-Family balance” conference.
Mr Fülöp stressed the importance of double commitment, towards families and workplaces. With these two in mind, the Government will announce again this year the “Family-friendly workplace” tender.
This year, employerscan apply for grants in four categories – small, medium and large entreprises and public institutions - up to 1.5 million forints (EUR 5,000) until March 17.
