The Foreign Ministers of the Visegrad Four (V4) countries, including Hungarian Foreign Minister János Martonyi, will be visiting Kyiv and Donetsk on Thursday and Friday.
MFA Press Chief Gábor Kaleta declared that the visit is intended to express the V4 countries' dedication to Ukraine's territorial integrity. He noted that the visit was agreed upon by the ministers at their meeting on Monday.
Minister Martonyi will be accompanied by his Slovak counterpart Miroslav Lajcak, his Czech counterpart Lubomir Zaoralek and a representative of the Polish foreign ministry to meet Oleksandr Turchynov, the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament as well as acting President and Prime Minister of Ukraine. The foreign ministers expect that the new Ukrainian government will have been formed by Friday and so they can hold talks with the new prime minister and the new foreign minister.
The V4 foreign ministers plan to fly from Kyiv to Donetsk on Friday to meet local leaders and representatives of the Russian community.
