H. E. János Martonyi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Hungary paid a visit to Jeddah on June 19, 2012 to express his own condolences and those of Hungary and its Government, to the new Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Salman on the occasion of the passing away of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on June 16.

H. E. János Áder, President, H. E. Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister and H. E. János Martonyi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Hungary also sent a telegram to His Majesty the King, as well as to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of His Royal Highness’ death. On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H. E. Mr. Zsolt Németh, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and H. E. János Hóvári, Deputy State Secretary responsible for Global Affairs expressed their condolences in person to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Budapest on June 19, 2012 as well.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud was dedicated to further strengthening the friendly ties between Hungary and Saudi Arabia. With his unexpected death, we have lost an outstanding personality who consistently promoted the peace and security of the Kingdom and the whole region.
