The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary learned with deep regret about the recent violence in Afghanistan and the savage attacks against Afghan Government Institutions and other civilian establishments April 3, 2013, claiming a great number of mainly civilian victims and casualties.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary firmly condemns all forms of terrorist activities and in particular the recent terrorist attacks that endanger the peace and prosperity of the people of Afghanistan and trusts that the perpetrators of these crimes will be duly brought to justice. Hungary assures the Government and the people of Afghanistan about her sympathy and solidarity and expresses sincere and profound condolences to the relatives of the victims of these cruel acts of violence.

Hungary, as a nation that along with other committed members of the international community provides assistance and makes sacrifices for the future of Afghanistan, remains committed to the provision of security and the achievement of internal reconciliation as well as the establishment of favorable conditions for the economic and social development of Afghanistan.
