On 3 April 2014, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Szabolcs Takács met a group of volunteers who worked in Maidan Square in Kiev during the recent riots in the Ukrainian capital.
The 26 doctors, nurses and other volunteers have come to Hungary to take part in a five-day programme run by the Ministry, aimed at helping them cope with the stress they encountered.
Mr. Takács said at the meeting that Hungary regards Ukraine as a friend and has always assumed solidarity with that country. He expressed support for Ukraine having chosen the road to Europe.
