Both Hungary and Norway are committed to a settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, and agree that neighbouring regions “should make their voices heard” in the interest of resolving the situation, the Deputy State Secretary of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on the sidelines of talks in Oslo on 30 January 2014.

Gergely Prőhle, representing the Visegrád Four cooperation, informed his negotiating partners about the programme and regional goals of Hungary's V4 presidency.

The Deputy State Secretary held talks with political director of the Norwegian parliament Wegger Christian Strommen, state secretary for EU affairs Ingvild Stub, and Bente Angell-Hansen, general secretary of the Norwegian foreign ministry and former ambassador to Hungary.
