Foreign Minister János Martonyi appointed Deputy State Secretary Gábor Baranyai as the Ministerial Commissioner in charge of preparing the UN conference on water management and sanitation to be held in Budapest this October.
The Commissioner will be responsible for preparing the global conference as well the events held in relation to the international meeting in Budapest. Moreover, he will be cooperating with the Hungarian as well as international partner organizations.
The conference, which will be held under the aegis of the United Nations Organization, aims to present practical solutions for coping with the challenges of water management in both the developing and the developed world.
Scientific, business, civil and youth forums will be organized on the sidelines of the UN conference to promote the achievements of Hungarian scientific researchers and to develop international relations for the Hungarian water industry.
