On Tuesday Foreign Minister János Martonyi had a meeting with Austrian State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Reinhold Lopatka, who is heading the Austrian delegation at the Budapest Water Summit (October 8-11). The parties confirmed their commitment to continue bilateral cooperation following the formation of the new cabinet in Austria.

In addition to EU issues, János Martonyi and Reinhold Lopatka discussed the activities of the Visegrad Group (V4) and the Central European Initiative (CEI). The Austrian State Secretary said that his country would participate at a high level at the Foreign Ministers’ meeting of the V4 and Western Balkans countries as well as of the CEI countries in Budapest on 30-31 October 2013.
