On 16 July, Indian Minister of External Affairs Salman Khurshid will address this year’s annual meeting of Hungary’s 107 foreign mission heads that begins on Monday.
Mr. Khurshid will give an outline of India’s foreign policy goals, its proposals for the institutional reforms of international organisations and the political and economic developments of the larger Asia region, the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ chief of press told MTI. It has become a tradition to invite foreign guests to address the meeting, said Gábor Kaleta.
Every minister of the Hungarian Government is scheduled to address the meeting.
Foreign speakers in previous years have included Chairman of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Surin Pitsuwan in 2012, Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini in 2011, as well as US State Secretary Colin Powell, EU foreign affairs chief Javier Solana and EU enlargement commissioner Gunter Verheugen.
