Hungary wants to become one of Europe's centres for judicial cooperation and education, Minister of Public Administration and Justice Tibor Navracsics said on Tuesday. He stated at a conference organised by the Hungarian Chamber of Civil Law Notaries (MOKK) that Hungary had been working to develop as a "focal point" in Europe since 2010, and had taken such moves as launching regular consultations for the justice ministers of Visegrád cooperation countries.

Among Hungary's achievements in the process, Minister Navracsics mentioned a European decision to open a training centre for the European patent office in Budapest, which is expected to start its operations in autumn. He also voiced his hope that Budapest could host the Central European headquarters of the patent office in the future.
