Hungary regards it unacceptable and firmly condemns the shelling of the Turkish town of Akcale as a result of the violent acts along the Syrian-Turkish border on October 3, which has lead to the death of five local citizens, including children, and has caused serious injuries to many others.
The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its deepest sympathies to the families of the victims.
Hungary, with complete solidarity, stands up for Turkey, its ally, and urges that the Syrian regime put an end to its violent acts, which are against international law and which by now threaten the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the neighbouring countries.
