The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary learnt with deep dismay about the recent attack against a consular office of the United States in Herat, Afghanistan, the Ministry announced it in a statement September 14, 2013.
In its statement, the Ministry voiced Hungary’s sympathy with family members of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those who suffered injuries.
Hungary firmly condemns the terrorist act committed by Talibans and any other form of terrorism, the document stated.
Hungary supports Afghanistan’s stabilisation, and as a NATO member, is committed to completion of a safe transition led by Afghanistan’s forces, the statement added.
