The Inter-Ministerial Committee for Transatlantic Coordination, headed by Deputy State Secretary Péter Wintermantel, held a session on March 13, 2014.

The representatives of the various ministries discussed the latest developments of the free trade negotiations between the European Union and the United States, with particular emphasis on the consultations regarding market opening. They also considered Hungary’s interests concerning the public consultation launched by the European Commission on the area of investment protection.

The Inter-Ministerial Committee for Transatlantic Coordination was set up in 2013 to monitor the free trade negotiations between the European Union and the United States and to contribute to the advancing of Hungarian economic interests in the course of the negotiation process through elaborating coordinated positions.
