Gergely Prőhle, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, paid a visit in Stockholm on October 17 and 18. In the course of his visit Deputy State Secretary Prőhle had meetings with Members of Parliament, members of the Venice Commission, and journalists.

At the Hungarian Ambassador’s Residence he gave a briefing about the latest political developments in Hungary, about cooperation with the Venice Commission and the situation of the Roma minority.

Deputy State Secretary Prőhle took part in a conference entitled „Raoul Wallenberg: Symbol or Mystery?”, hosted by the Living History Forum and the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education, Remembrance, and Research. At the event he spoke about the Wallenberg Year in Hungary, underlining the educational events targeted at the young generations. He extolled Wallenberg’s humanitarian efforts in the midst of an inhuman world war.  At the conference the Deputy State Secretary also held talks on bilateral issues with Political Director of the Swedish Foreign Ministry, Björn Lyrvall.
