A cooperation agreement was concluded between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Péter Pázmány Catholic University (PPKE) on March 26, 2014.

Péter Wintermantel, Deputy State Secretary for Global Affairs, declared that the Government of Hungary announced the policy of global opening because the economic and political weight of regions outside Europe had increased. The region of Arabic countries plays a crucial role in this policy, and enhancing cultural relations with these countries is particularly important for developing economic cooperation in this region.
