The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs agrees with the Fidesz Party saying that MP Zoltán Kőszegi’s statement in Transylvania represents only his personal opinion.
His statement does not mirror the official standpoint of the Hungarian Government. The Government complies with all international legal obligations and treaties. The future of Hungarians living outside the national borders can be best secured by autonomy concepts drafted in accordance with international practice by the parties concerned.
