At the ‘medal parade’ held in Baghdad the Hungarian troops having successfully completed their six-month service in Iraq were awarded Medals for NATO Training Mission.
At the same time Hungarian soldiers starting their tour of duty were given Arm Badges as a sign of belonging to the troops. From this month on the Hungarian contingent of six soldiers is going to start its mission in Iraq.
The recognitions of the Minister of Defence of the Hungarian Republic were handed over by Major General Michael Barbero Commander of NATO Training Mission Iraq. Lieutenant Colonel of the Royal Air Force (WgCmr) Duncan Sucklay and Sergeant Mustafa Kucuku were awarded the Service Medal ’For Peacekeeping ’ . Having successfully accomplished the NATO Training Mission the troops returned home to take their well-deserved rest.
