The troops of the MFO (Multinational Force and Observers) and the FMPU (Force Military Police Unit) deployed in Sinai have been rotated recently.

The 32nd Hungarian rotation comprising 18 soldiers and policemen arrived in North Camp, Sinai. Afterwards they were given a thorough preparation consisting of financial, investigation, occupational safety, health, leadership, convoy trainings and target practice. The ceremonial transfer of authority was held on March 9, when the outgoing troops handed over the duties to the incoming soldiers.

At the medal parade held on March 10 the troops serving with the MFO for the last 6 months were awarded medals with an orange-white ribbon. Major Ferenc Marselek, Police Captain Szilárd Lechner, Police Captain András Bánfi, 1st Lieut. Gábor Benczik, 1st Lieut. Tibor Duráncsik, Sergeant First Class József Németh, Sergeant First Class István Silló and Sergeant First Class Endre Bálint have been decorated by the leaders of MFO. Among the decorated was Police Captain Krisztina Duskóczi, who had been serving with the MFO for six and a half years.
