Upon the advice of the Minister of Defence appointments were handed over by the President of the Hungarian Republic, Pál Schmitt in the Sándor Palace on November 25.

Lieutenant General Dr Tibor Benkő was promoted to General by the President of the Hungarian Republic, Pál Schmitt. The Head of State promoted Colonel Eng. Dr József Tokovicz, Director of HDF Defence Office to Eng. Brigadier General. Colonel Csaba Varga, Deputy Commander of Joint Forces Command of the HDF was promoted to Brigadier General. The appointments will take effect on December 2.
