Norwegian Minister of Defence Grete Faremo paid a two-day official visit to Budapest.

She was received with military honours by Minister of Defence Dr Csaba Hende. During the talks ministers exchanged views upon the programme of the Hungarian EU Presidency, the results of the NATO Lisbon Summit, bilateral military relations as well as current security and defence issues. The Norwegian Defence Minister Grete Faremo said: “Hungary is considered to be an important and reliable ally of Norway. “

During her visit Defence Minister of Norway held talks with Zsolt Németh, Minister of State for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Zsolt Csampa, Vice-President of the National Assembly Defence and Law Enforcement Committee, as well.
