Minister of Defence Csaba Hende held talks with his Turkish colleague, Minister of Defence Dr. İsmet Yilmaz in Ankara on November 8 and 9. The Hungarian Minister arrived in the capital upon the invitation of the Turkish side.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the current state of regional security policy and touched on the NATO-led military operations in Afghanistan and Kosovo. They also discussed the implementation of the decisions reached at the NATO Summit in Chicago. The items on the agenda of the talks included the current state of the Turkish–Hungarian bilateral military relations and the scope for their expansion.
In order to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries, Minister of Defence Csaba Hende invited Dr. İsmet Yimaz to visit Hungary.
