The mission of the 10th rotation of the HDF EUFOR contingent has reached an important landmark: on June 14 the Hungarian peacekeepers participated in the traditional medal parade. The event symbolized the successful accomplishment of the soldiers’ six-month tour of duty in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Although there is one month left before the soldiers of the 10th rotation can return home, in his speech delivered at the medal parade Maj.-Gen. Robert Brieger, the commander of EUFOR praised the high professional standards and the outstanding performance of the Hungarian contingent.
After the speech Maj.-Gen. Robert Brieger, Brig.-Gen. Péter Ernő Siposs, Chief of Staff EUFOR, Lt.-Col. Tamás Papp, the commander of the 10th rotation, Maj. Csaba Halász, the chief of staff of the Multinational Battalion (COS MNBN) and Maj. Tibor Vig, the support chief of the contingent pinned the ALTHEA medals on the soldiers’ uniforms.
