Soldiers held a service to commemorate the Reformation Day and lit a candle to remember their deceased relatives and friends in Mazar-e Sharif last weekend.
Brigadier General Dr Pál Lakner talked about the relationship between traditions and the brightness of God’s Word comparing Reformation to a church window, an example taken from the Book of Psalms.
In the final part of the religious service each participant lit a candle remembering the dead whose graves are situated in Hungary. On Sunday evening the troops of the mission gathered at the Memorial Wall where following the bishop’s brief introduction Colonel Dr Gyula Révész, Commander of the National Support Element lit a candle in remembrance of the fallen comrades.
