Minister of Defence Dr Csaba Hende received President of Gorizia Province Italy Enrico Gherghetta in his office on 4th October.

During the meeting Csaba Hende emphasized that maintenance of military graves has to be considered a key national issue. The minister attached great importance to the Alpine Front of World War I where the Hungarian regiments fighting with bravery had suffered huge losses.

The minister said that he had established a new office called Office for Social Relations and Maintenance of Military Graves on 1st October. President Ghergetta informed the minister about the Carso 2010 Programme. It is aimed to maintain and upkeep the military graves and the memorial places at the territory of Italy. The Hungarian party has expressed his interest in the Italian programme. Minister of Defence has intended to make an agreement on cooperation.
