Threats emanating from cyberspace cause serious security concerns for many EU countries. In accordance with the Report on the Implementation of the European Security Strategy Ministry of Defence of the Hungarian Republic will host an international expert conference on cyber security.
The Hungarian EU Presidency conference intends to raise awareness and enhance international cooperation by stimulating a fruitful exchange of views among various stakeholders, including representatives of international organizations, nation states and the academic community. The conference titled ‘Cyber-security: Challenges and Policies’ will be opened by the Minister of Defence at Stefánia Palace, Budapest on May 2.
Lectures will be delivered by Gábor Iklódy, Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges, NATO, Tunne Kelam, Member of the European Parliament, Guiseppe Santomartino, CIS Director EUMS, Ilmar Tamm, Director of NATO CCD COE and several representatives of academic life.
