Dr Csaba Hende has held discussions with the Egyptian Defence Minister about the possible cooperation in the field of military training, defence technology and the Crisis Areas of the Middle-East and the African region.

The Hungarian Minister of Defence invited Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi for an official visit to Budapest.
During the talks the parties discussed issues on strengthening of the Hungarian-Egyptian relations and the preparations for the upcoming Hungarian EU Presidency. The parties have agreed to find the possibilities of cooperation in the field of officer training, defence technology and military industry in the future.

Therefore a delegation of Egyptian military experts will travel to Budapest to build relations in the framework for cooperation.

During Hungary’s EU Presidency in the first half of 2011 the defence ministers will be informed by the Hungarian Minister of Defence about the crisis management of the EU in the world.

In the late afternoon meeting Dr Csaba Hende invited Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi for an official state visit to Hungary.

Following the visit to Cairo the delegation led by the Minister of Defence has travelled to the camp of the Hungarian soldiers deployed in the Sinai Peninsula.
