Minister of Defence Dr Csaba Hende received Admiral Mark P.Fitzgerald USN, Commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples for a complimentary meeting on 27th July.

During the talks the minister emphasized Hungary’s commitment to operations in the Balkans.

Admiral Fitzgerald expressed his gratitude to Hungary and the HDF for their active military participation to ensure stability in the Balkans. He underlined the importance of the excellent bilateral relations with Serbia. He indicated that the HQ under his command counts on Hungary’s participation in peacekeeping operations until the completion of the mission. Admiral Fitzgerald leaves his current post in the near future; therefore he has been awarded a Service Medal for the Alliance by Minister of Defence Dr Csaba Hende in recognition of his work done to enhance the cooperation between Allied Joint Force Command and the HDF.
