The government has endorsed new regulations on subsidies which can be provided as case-by-case government grants from the vocational training reserves of the National Employment Fund. As a result, the subsidy system aimed at helping meet the labour force demand of enterprises which invest in Hungary will be substantially simpler and more efficient.

Applicants can receive grants of up to 1 million EUR for investments which create jobs for 50-500 people or up to 2 million EUR for investments resulting in more than 500 new jobs. Applicants are obliged to pledge that at least sixty percent of training course participants will be employed for at least another 12 months.

In accordance with the government agenda, the legislation will support the apprentice workshop development aspirations of companies who manage these according to training contracts and thus it strengthens dual vocational education.
