The Ministry for National Economy and the governing Fidesz-KDNP alliance have agreed on a HUF 300 billion financial relief package as part of the 2013 budget.

The plan, which will last for three years, will be aimed at employees under the age of 25 and over the age of 55, and at manual workers. According to the Government’s calculations, this will help to retain approximately 1.5 million jobs.

The allocation of HUF 300 billion is for the first six months of the plan. Antal Rogán, leader of the ruling party’s parliamentary group, emphasised that this programme will not affect the budget deficit.
