In light of data from the end of February, the number of newly registered, unsubsidized jobs in the private sector increased by 70 percent month-on-month and it was up by some 50 percent year-on-year.
It is a remarkable development that the number of unsubsidized jobs, i.e.: those registered in the private sector, showed outstanding growth even in this period. This increase in the corresponding period has been the largest since 2008.
At the end of February, 443 thousand jobseekers were recorded by the registry of the National Employment Service. At this time of the year, the corresponding figure has not been this low since 2005 and 2006. The number of jobseekers dropped by one-third or some 233 thousand in comparison to the previous year. This decrease is much larger than that of caused by the effect of winter public work programmes.
These data are also confirming steady labour market recovery.
