The Ministry for National Economy will once again negotiate with banks and offer significant incentives in order to stimulate lending, Minister of State for Taxation and Financial Affairs Gyula Pleschinger said at the Kossuth Rádió weekend programme G7.

The Minister of State underlined that the Government intends to come to an agreement with the banking sector which would result in improved lending backed by the state.

In case of more lending, liabilities from banking sector special tax may be refunded or banks may apply tax deductions. Until the end of spring the agreement is expected to be concluded. “An incentive system much more “aggressive” than the current one will be offered,” Gyula Pleschinger informed.
